 Of the aches and whims we have

Of the missess and losses we cry

We miss the many chances

Of love and kindness 

Of gratitude and forgiveness

We can give and be thankful for

Life happens just like that

Whether we miss

Whether we give

Whether we thank

Whether we forgive

Life happens, moments pass,

For a later day

Of remorse and regrets,

That we can avoid today

Just if we pause on the thought
