நடுல வந்தவன் தானே நானு

Often times when i talk to bandu or sathan i would irritate them with just one line!!!! "நடுல வந்தவன் தானே நானு...."

It was June 2008 when i stepped into MIG. I was put at the top floor of the building with 7 other aliens. It was a two bedroom, hall, 2 bath, kitchen staff quarters that was converted to be a hostel for 8 guys. Since i was new, i had no idea how to grab my place, so i took the kitchen which was least preferred by anyone. It was the only time, during the whole of 4years i was a bit scared and kept contemplating on my decision to stay in hostel. Madhan was at the 2nd floor, again with 7 other people, but not alien to him, ofcourse, all other 93(total of 12 flats) guys in that building were alien to me. Bandu was put in the ground floor. 

Madhan decided, this was not going to help anyone and we had to find a flat for us. Sathan who always took part in planning but never really took the responsibility of the aftermath  was alloted in a different building along with mokkai and sappi. Since sathan was held up in a emotional friendship battle between madhan, bandu and mokkai sappi, he devised a plan such that all of us will stay in the same place. Everyone agreed to his plan and Mokkai, sappi and sathan moved to MIG. Finally we occupied the top floor and exchanged the berths with others as against the allotment list. 

Sharp at 9 each night we would be at our original alloted bed for the roll call, and soon i got familiar with all 93 other aliens in the building. But this routine turned to be a himalayan task and Madhan & Bandu did their part to make our desired allotment an official one. They went to extremes of fixing warden car's punctured tire, getting him the latest movies, running errands for his family till the list was made official, after that warden had to wait to get their appointment. Finally we settled at the top floor and occupied rooms(rather house) 10 and 12. For me it was a year more of getting to know Bandu, sathan, mokkai and sappi, for Madhan i already knew him well. 

Coming back to the title, whenever something comes for panchayat in front of bandu(for he is the captain), i always tell them, "நடுல வந்தவன் தானே நானு, நீங்கலாம் தான் முதல் வருஷதுலேர்ந்து friends!!!"
