With much hype and hoopla, the movie was released setting great expectation. After Bheema, everyone expected a lot from vickram since, bheema was a terrible flop at the box office. I too was one among the many. With great expectations me and a friend of mine woke up as early as 530 in the morning and went to the theatres. Yup the show was at 630am. Had i ever been to office or temple that early??? LOL
The first good thing about the movie was, i was educated with the knowledge that there is a temple for lord muruga in tiruporur in the outskirts of chennai and the statue is quiet different. In that sense, the face was plain, it had no eyes/nose/ears anything. Well I have come to know about the temple and that was the last good thing about the movie.
CRAP CRAP CRAP. A big time crap. I dont know how vikram, an actor of his calibre accepted such amateurish story. SUSI GANESAN is the real culprit behind all the havoc's on screen. As though his works are not alone, shriya saran and vadivelu, share the screen space to inflict more wounds in the eyes of the viewers.
Should i call the superhero character of the story as seval man???? or hen man????? Well, the costume for the super hero are good. But ironically, in the 3 hrs 20 mins long story, the super hero comes for just 30 mins. The director fails to walk the narrow line and gets lost somewhere in between....and so are the viewers. half way through the movie, the viewers fail to understand why the hell they are in the theatre.
Shriya saran is a total useless trash. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH HER THE NUISANCE of acting and if not some dance steps at least few aerobics to perform in synchronous with the background score???? This bloody lady has lost her mind and has also lost her dressing sense. Too much of skin show, leaves the viewers irked rather than them craving for more.
The buffoonish antics in the name of comedy, makes one feel like farting at vadivelu's face. this monkey is a spent force and is totally useless....background music is a big let down to the movie, we keep hearing some tables and chairs being pulled on a ruff surface. The songs are a total waste and the producer could have saved a huge some had he restrained himself from having any music for the movie.
Though vikram looks more youthful, he lacks the vigour and charm that we have seen him in his early years. Maybe he is too tired to act and getting old!!!!!
The film unit has adopted two villages. Had thanu not started this project, he could have just adopted the entire TAMIL NADU state.
VERDICT: maama idu kuppa!!!! TOTAL WASTE
