Adventures with a great man of greater words- Part I

It is always a pleasure to think about childhood pals, Who grow with you, and share the events in their life....Among the lot of friends i had, three of us to this day still make a great trio when we get some time to spend together. I have decided to record my memory of this great man among us before i start forgetting them. let me call us P,S,Y and S will be the great man i am referring to, P myself and Y the final but the leader of our group :):)

Once it was raining heavily. And S never cared about his two wheeler. He rarely worried whether it had enough fuel or it required a service. Y would always point out the requirement. Once after roaming the city, as we do often, we were returning back to our area. It was raining beautifully. While me and Y were on a vehicle, S was on his vehicle. The engine seized to function. We parked our vehicles by the road side. Y kicked the vehicle as much as he could. But it all went in vain. S kept silent all this time. I too tried a few kicks. After sometime, S opened up.

"மச்சான் பெட்ரோல் போட்டு ரெண்டு வாரம் இருகும்னு நெனைக்கறேன் டா. அதுனால ஒடலய?" (Bro, i think its been two weeks since refueled by vehicle. Could that be the reason?).

Y was agitated. "டேய் சூப்பர் டா. போடாங்க...பக்கதுல எந்த பெட்ரோல் பங்கும் கடயாது. தள்ளிட்டு டான் போகணும். எ லே லோ ஐலசா". (WOW.Fantastic. We dont have any gas station nearby. Seems u need to walk a long way)

At that very moment, S did a splendid job that amazed and enlightened us even in that downpour. S swiftly, took the keys unlocked the seat cover. He immediately opened the Petrol tank cap in that rain. He bent down and aligned his eye in line with the petrol tank opening. He looked into it for a minute or two, then looked at us.

"எனக்கு எதுவும் தெரில டா." (I couldn't see anything)

Neither me nor Y could answer him. We were already laughing. The rain was already filling the tank....and after that what we did was history...till date, we are proud that we had a great man S of our age with great sense of timing and thinking!!!!!!!
