A drive on a saturday evening 615 from PORUR to MAYAJAAL will easily take 2 hours. We had booked tickets for the much hyped movie SARVAM, the show was at 701pm.Though we made it on time was it really worth???
The movie boasts big about Aarya and Trisha in the lead role, Yuvan handling the music department and Vishnuvardan directing the movie. Lets talk about the show before the interval...
Costume designer deserves an appreciation here and so does Nirav Shah for his work with the lenses. Aarya looks great and Trisha looks decent in most of the frames. That said, they have nothing else to do in the movie. Buffoonish activities of the male protagonists in the name of love irks your arse, that u would wish u had been given a cyanide kuppi rather :) One particular comedy between the male protagonists and his friend will leave u in splits :)
That said, too much of masala and over action dampen the movie further. To make the things even worse, psycho prathap pothen does a cameo and irritates you in the name of comedy. The cast in the name of friends of the male pratogonists looks helpless and hopeless. They don't know why they are in the frame.....
Trisha has nothing much to do except to show her regular useless expressions in few frames and do some skin show in songs...
J.D.Chankravathy has tried to deliver some good performance...but it remains a try. His antics and expressionless dialogue delivery trying to create a dark ambiance for the movie laves u yawning.
The kid Rohan Siva seems to have some potential for the small screen...scenes involving the kid and the male protagonists are the only relaxation....The music is a big let down by Yuvan. While so many music directors of India are trying to get inspired from the western world (LOL), seems YUVAN is inspired to a great extent by his dad's tracks and BGM.
Having said all these things there is nothing much to talk about the second half, its all bloody ruined story. Never waste your time and money on this trash. If at all there is one compelling reason to visit the Cinema, it can be the visuals of few songs in the big screen.....if you are a die hard fan of aarya and trisha :) :)
